On the Fact that Ruth Bader Ginsburg Once Stated that the South African Constitution Would Be a Better Model to Follow than the U.S. Constitution

That is quite possibly the most ignorant and astonishing statement ever uttered by a high-ranking U.S. official. The fact of the matter is that South Africa is one of the most corrupt countries on the globe and the Constitution there isn't any more valuable than used toilet-paper (insecure property rights, few rights for the minority, draconian gun restrictions, embedded affirmative action, an absolute abandonment of the "castle doctrine", etc.). I mean, I understand that folks like Ginsburg don't think that government should have ANY checks on its power and all but, please, South Africa? She might as well have just said Communist China or Nazi Germany, for Christ.
