On the President Not Having a "Strategy" For ISIS in Syria

There are a lot of things about Obama that rub me the wrong way but the fact that he doesn't have some grand strategy for policing the planet isn't one of them. Sorry.

I understand that. But he could have worded it such that didn't sound like he had no idea what he was doing.

Strategy is evolving. Slowly, methodically. As we waich and wait. We prepare for whatever comes. It may not be pretty. Seeds of mayhem long ago sowed.

Oh, it was definitely a gaffe but the response to it has been a wee-bit overblown, I think.

Even if he does have a strategy, what is his advantage in revealing it? Not revealing a strategy gives nothing to the enemy and makes republicans look stupid when they complain. Looks like a win-win to me.

Probably, Will. I would say that the life of this one is over, or should be.

I'd just rather Obama has said "We have a decisive strategy to deal with this problem". Even if he had none. It just wasn't the best.

I agree with dmarks.....just say "we got this". Even if you don't...it's not helpful to assist the punditry-posing-as-journalists.

Unless it turned out to be like his claims of "shovel ready jobs" and his subsequent efforts caused the nation to lose millions more jobs. And later he was caught laughing at the idea.

"...subsequent efforts caused the nation to lose millions more jobs"

You mean like those efforts that turned a 700,000 jobs per month loss into years of continuous positive job growth?

I read that his strategy is to change from an interlocking grip to an overlap and move the ball back in his stance.....sounds very workable.

And Rusty, for the win.
