Oh, Romney by a Long-Shot - Not Even Close

What would be my answer to the question, "So, out of Gingrich, Romney, and Santorum, which of the three would you trust the most with nuclear weapons?"

Without a doubt, Romney is the sanest of the bunch.

Yeah, between Gingrich's pure insanity and Mr. Santorum's "divine inspiration", they do make a pair of very scary bookends, that's for sure.

Since I beat up the Morman who asked in front of my daughter why I didn't want her to hear about Jesus they've been trying to prove their manhood.

Don't trust Mitt at all.

In fact, they're all nuts.

Do any of them pronounce nuclear
correctly?

Romney is the most moderate because he tries to earn votes and betrays no personal principles of any kind. That does not make him sane. There is no telling what he actually believes. It may well be truly nuts.

Gentlemen, I said that I trusted Mr. Romney with the nuclear button, not that I trusted the dude in general.......Yes, I agree, anybody who's flip-flopped (he was once to the left of Ted Kennedy on gay-rights) to the extent that he has is to approached well with caution.

I think Romney would take a poll and ask if he should nuke someone, and if the polls said he should, he would nuke them, even if it were is own grandmother.

If we have to have a Republican when, I definitely hope it is Romney. There is nothing more dangerous than a republican with morals, and I am not being facetious.

win, not when.

People said the same thing (not really) about Clinton, that he basically did everything with his finger in the air first. And we survived that.

cue scene of Howard Dean bellowing like a pterodactyl as a mushroom cloud rises.

We'll have to wait until 2016 to see what new scary-nuke figures the Dems will put forth.

I don't think Hillary will be among them.

BB asked: "Do any of them pronounce nuclear

Jimmy Carter, the only nuclear engineer among the Presidents, did pronounce it "nucular".

Romney is the safer of the three. Ron Paul is equally if not more so.

And I'm hearing of some potential deal making going on.

Intriquing thought.

Hey, dmarks, maybe Alan Grayson or Chris Matthews will run. Those 2 guys would be thoroughly scary, no?............Les, I would totally trust Mr. Paul with the nuclear button. In fact, I might even go as far as to say that we haven't had a safer candidate (foreign policy wise) on the Republican side since Eisenhower.

Will: I might even go as far as to say that we haven't had a safer candidate (foreign policy wise) on the Republican side since Eisenhower.

Not economic policy wise though. In that regard he's totally nuts. Also, he's a fake Libertarian, as pointed out by Lawrence O'Donnell last night. Paul said people wanting to have sex and use birth control pills are immoral. Making value judgments in regards to what people do in their personal lives isn't Libertarian at all.

Also, Howard Dean never "bellowed like a pterodactyl". What's up with dmarks inserting this Right-wing lie into the conversation at every opportunity?

I don't know what a pterodactyl would have sounded like, so I do agree that DMarks needs to stop lying. I think Howard Dean's bellowing was more like an orgasmic Pentecostal, drunk with the the believe that God is orgasming through him as he finishes speaking in tongues.

That Howard Dean bellowed like an idiotic maniac is beyond rational dispute.

wd, needless to say, I don't agree with Mr. Paul on THAT point.............John, I consider Howard Dean the Newt Gingich of the left; crazy-eyed/assed individuals, both of them.
