Strange Weed-Fellows

My advice to Congresswoman Bachman is very, VERY, simple. Five little words; please don't talk so much. I mean, think about it, folks. Basically every time she opens her mouth, embarrassment follows her closely. And, yes, me-buckos, it also hurts the Republican Party. Not that I'm exactly rooting for the Republicans, mind you. But, seriously here, don't you think we'd be better off with two strong parties from which to choose from. Me - I'd personally like to see more than two - but at least two!..............................................................................And I'm also asking you to examine it from this angle. The more that this woman idiotically spouts and drivels shamelessly like this, the more we also have to listen to blowhards like Keith Olbermann, THEIR over-the-top outrage, etc.. And I don't know about you folks, but I'm really starting to get fatigued with that, too (all of those "special comments", especially)..................................................................................P.S. It should also be stated that factions such as this have a tendency to need each other. I mean, think about it here. The more stupid things that Bachman utters, the better it is for Olbermann, ratings-wise. And, conversely, the more that Olbermann rails against this poor bastard, the better it is for her, publicity-wise (criticism from Olbermann is probably a badge of honor on the right). So, yes, folks, it is kind of Jacobean, at times. Oh hell, they're probably getting it on (perversely, of course), too. This, for all that we frigging know.

Bachmann pontificated on Smoot-Hawley on the house floor no less.got everything back-asswards (blamed it on FDR) and pronounced it Hoot-Smawley.

I agree with your point.an intelligent Republican party would keep the Democrats honest. They could no longer get away with "At least we ain't them guys" and might have to take legitimate positions on issues.

Will,
one more thing about Nixon-remember what Hunter Thompson said following Nixon's death?
Something like they shouldn't have given him a funeral, just tossed him into one of the storm drains in Long Beach and let him flow out to sea with the rest of the sewage.
Now that's a eulogy man.

Yeah, I remember that one; Hoot-Smawley. LOL I mean, I have a tendecy to butcher the language, too, from time to time. And, yes, if it was just that one example, I could probably cut her some slack. But we have a major-league pattern here, now don't we?...........As for Mr. Thompson's "eulogy" of the Dickster, let's just say that I don't completely disagree with it.

How 'bout an all female ticket, Stella; Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman (maybe have Michelle Malkin as secretary of labor)? That could blow a few minds/gaskets, huh? LOL

Damn, Will, that's an utter horror! What on earth were you thinking? And where would you place the Coultergeist? Let me think of a great all female ticket...

Got it! Roseanne for president and Margaret Cho for vice president. Talk about blowing a few gaskets on the right! I would love to serve on their cabinet. We'll allow a token male: Joe Biden as Secretary of State.

Oso, I'm so glad you agreed to post your insights on our blog. You always add great comment—I am particularly fond of the Nixon eulogy.

Just a thought: Will, would you want to be one of our contributors? If so, I'll ask No. 44 and am asking Oso via this comment.

Best to you both, always.

Love to have Will around as long as he keeps his views on Al Groh civil.

just kidding,he's smart and funny, stands up for his beliefs but will consider the other side too.

He'd be a great addition.

Are you sure about this, folks? I'm kind of a wild-card/not even sure where I am politically. But, yeah, I'd be more than willing/happy to make some contributions. Al Groh, Oso? Don't even get me going on that guy again. Can you say 0-4? LOL

Swiftspeech used to have a rigorous screening procedure but they really dropped the bar for me.

Now that they will let ANYONE in-was it Groucho who said "any organization that would allow ME in,I wouldn't want to be a part of".

Groucho was the braintrust of that operation, correct? Kind of like Ted Heeley was, early on with the stooges.

I LOVE IT!

How about Ann Coulter as Secretary of State?

(gee I wonder why I never get an invite to post anywhere...)LOL

We have to get Laura Ingraham in there too somewhere.

Secretary of Defense maybe?

We're talking some serious firepower there, Volt. We sure wouldn't need any "coalitions" with her in charge. LOL P.S. I still like Palin best in terms of looks, though (amongst conservative hotties). Drives Cliffy nuts!
