On Recently Being Exposed to Yet Another Hollywood Film of Piss-Poor Quality About the Crusades (Dark Relic, its Title) In Which the Muslims Are Victims and the Christian Europeans Are Villainous Monsters

  The Crusades happened because the Muslims invaded Christian lands and made these Christians either convert to Islam, pay the jizzya, or resist and end up deceased. The Crusades were largely defensive measures to ensure that their fellow Christians no longer got slaughtered. Now, were there atrocities committed? Of course there were but they were committed across the board......and so to try and make Islam the underdog yet again is absurd.
