A number of reasons. a) The Guy has all the right enemies; academics, the corporate whore media, the intelligence community, the political establishment, big tech, and Hollywood, just to name several and b) the harsh fact that his predecessors were just as repugnant as he is (if not more so) and so why in the hell such overkill?
For a while I thought that that summed it up favorably.....until I consumed these words of wisdom -
