"Changes made after acceptance by the working group or the panel shall be those necessary to ensure consistency with the Summary for Policy Makers or the Overview chapter."......So, in other words, ixnay on any possible dissent and/or information which potentially contradicts their preordained conclusions. Eric Hoffer's, "The True Believer", anybody?

You know, Will, it is easy to say there is a complete consensus on an idea in a group if strict ideological conformity is maintained and any utterances from objective scientists are gagged.
More smoke, mirrors, and pontifications from the Climate Cardinals. It is indeed the modern Vatican.
Also, it's a good way to make the echoes louder in such echo chambers
"The echo chamber effect is a situation in which information, ideas, or beliefs are amplified or reinforced by transmission inside an "enclosed" space."
By eliminating the presentation of pesky inconvenient evidence, they keep their space "enclosed", tight as a drum.
dmarks, this is what the IPCC scientists initially wrote in 1995 (needless to say, it altered significantly when the politicians got a hold of it several months subsequent) - "None of the studies cited above has shown clear evidence that we can attribute the observed changes to the specific cause of greenhouse gasses (and) No study to date has positively attributed all or part of the climate change observed to man-made causes (and) Any claims of positive detection and attribution of significant climate change are likely to remain controversial until uncertainties in the total natural variability of the climate system are reduced (and) When will an anthropogenic effect on climate be identified? It is not surprising that the best answer to this question is, 'We do not know'.".
