Possibly My Favorite Stat-Line EVER

In 1959, during their national championship season (yes, that great team with Ernie Davis), the Syracuse Orangemen held Boston University to minus 88 yards rushing. MINUS 88 YARDS RUSHING! I mean, I know that in college football they count quarterback sacks as negative rushing yards and all but, still, they must have been having lunch in that backfield. Can you even begin to imagine being the B.U. quarterback that day? Ouch, huh?

When I used to collect football cards, I had this nutty idea about putting together a Heismann subset...the search for an Ernie Davis rookie card was elusive and futile...Great story. Great stats...Wow, and to think I bitch incessantly about UCONN football....

Marcus, Coach Pasqualoni is a wonderful man and a decent coach (he certainly had a lot of success early on in his Syracuse tenure) but he may not have been the most optimal hire at this stage of UConn's development. Hopefully I can be proven wrong and we can start winning again.............Yeah, Russ, I think that that's probably safe to say; 104-28 over the past 2 "contests"......And, no, no more Heisman for Geno Smith, either, huh?
