Questionable Sources
Let's see, what do we have here; Sean Hannity, Karl Rove, and Rudy Giuliani versus....Alan Colmes? THIS is fair and balanced? Not that this is necessarily a mismatch, mind you. This, I'm saying, in that Colmes, while he's hardly an intellectual giant and clearly tends to be a punching-bag at times, that above triumvirate is an excessively sluggish one - even by Fox standards................................................And at least Fox does throw Colmes a bone or two, puts him in for some token resistance, etc.. Compare that to MSNBC, where, between 8 and 10 P.M., you've got a pure/unadulterated propaganda machine, stumping for Obama and belittling the Republican ticket - absent ANY resistance.............................................Oh well, at least we still have CNN.................................................P.S. Not that CNN is perfect, either, mind you. But at least their hosts/moderators are seemingly fair/unbiased. That, and they almost always divide their panels equally between Democrats and Republicans and/or Liberals and Conservatives. I rarely get the impression that the deck is stacked either way with them, in other words. Hopefully, that will continue. I mean, if it doesn't, then what? I don't even want to think about it.

McCain fudges his Navy record
John McCain claims that his first plane crash, back in December 1960, was the result of engine failure. A U.S. Navy investigation makes clear that it was caused by pilot error.
In other words McCain lied about his own record, which also means he really has NO honor .....
Clif, I NEVER said that McCain was either a perfect person or a perfect pilot. In fact, I had always thought that the Corpus Christi and Mediterranean incidents probably WERE his fault. My problem with what Mike had said was how he kept alluding to the 5 mishaps and inferring that they were ALL McCain's fault. I mean, even this article says that the missile accident and his being shot down in Vietnam WERE NOT his fault. The 5th incident was the flame-out and I don't believe that he's ever been blamed for that one, either. And I was surprised to read that he DIDN'T crash his plane in the Mediterranean incident. After hitting the lines, he was still able to land the plane on the ship (no doubt there was some damage to it, though). I'm trying to be fair here, Clif, O.K.?

I'm the only blogger I know that holds both sides under scrutiny. So, fuck you, Clif. I mean, come on, think about was you're saying here, ass-hole. For the 1st 9 months or so of this blog, 85-90% of my postings were anti-Bush/his apologists in the media - BEFORE I EVEN KNEW YOUR SORRY ASSES EXISTED!!! It was only after I got exposed to the lunacy at LC's, Existential Cowboy, Politics Plus, etc. that I decided, "gee, I need to be a little more even-handed here." So, yeah, now I try to be 50-50. Am I perfect? No. But I'm a lot less partisan than you frigging clowns. That's a fact, Jack.

Members of Congress have direct control over the military and can enter military bases at will. Civilians can't.
Military members can and do go to jail for telling their bosses to get fucked, civilians like you can't.
Military members can be ordered to a position of death and worse, you have never been in that position Willy and you can't and obviously don't appreciate it.

But now we see _civilian_ Will "take no prisoners" Hart say that military men, a group that he claims to respect were not forced to participate in intolerable, inhuman, macabre, situations of death, mutilated bodies, booby trapped corpses and piles of bodies stacked like cord wood. Bill the big brave city hero just blew off the mile of death and what such situations do do good, real men of flesh and blood suddenly put into the real sight, smell and touch of such a situation to pick through it looking for bombs.
Forced? None were told what they were in for, and none were allowed to glance at it, turn around and just go home. Once there, they were REQUIRED to try and deal with and required or not - they deserve credit, not ridicule for just doing it. Even if they are assholes.
