On the Fact that the Great Swamp Massacre of 1675 Wasn't Simply a Clash Between Colonists and Narragansett Indians but Rather a Clash Between Those Colonists WITH Pequot Natives and the Narragansetts

  Yeah, this is a fact that either gets pushed aside or minimized in that it doesn't fit neatly into the progressive narrative of white Europeans engaged in a nonstop racially-motivated slaughter. The truth of course is that a) the native tribes were in a continuous state of war with one another and b) it wasn't always the whites who started the wars involving them (surprise attacks by natives were common and they often left settlers scrambling to protect themselves). And, no, this isn't to claim that the settlers were perfect little angels themselves, 'cause obviously they weren't......but to constantly infer that white Europeans were 100% to blame for everything is farcical and I personally won't stand for it.
