One of the concerns of course is the health of these people (obesity being linked to everything from diabetes to covid) but you also have to look at how this health issue effects their performance on the job. I mean, I don't know if you've taken heed or not but a lot of these controversial cop shootings came about not just from the suspect resisting arrest but also from the trooper's pathetic inability to subdue and put cuffs on the dude. Hell, it even happens when there are multiple cops on the scene.......Yeah, we simply have to get these suckers in better shape (maybe yearly testing would help) because another summer of wholesale looting and rioting just might put us over the edge.
