"Perhaps Bush isn't as bad as Hitler, but he's still a war-criminal."...PERHAPS Bush isn't as bad as Hitler. PERHAPS....Seriously, though, does anybody want to take a quick stab at this one?
It was a devil's advocacy question, wd. And, yes, Bush is definitely the least evil of that group of names. You disagree?......I hear ya' Les. There is definitely no reasoning with this individual. The dude has absolutely ZERO perspective.
Will You disagree?... There is definitely no reasoning with this individual. The dude has absolutely ZERO perspective.
I refuse to even consider the question. My perspective tells me evil is evil and there is little point in ranking evilness... unless your goal is to minimize the crimes of someone who you determine is "least evil".
What would people say if the question was turned around. For example, let's ask, "Who is the most evil?". Then list bush and a group of obviously very good people.
Hitchens is to be commended to cutting through the partisan haze about the war on the terrorists (people hating it or liking it depending on the (D) or the (R) after their name, as it related to Bush's party) but cutting right to the realities of the issue.

Will's record is clear. He's never minimized any crimes or anything about Bush.

I can hear the yelling and screaming already.
Bush versus the Dalai Lama, Jerry? Bush is more evil.
Bush versus the average soup kitchen volunteer? Bush is more evil.
It is all in how the question is posed.
According to Christopher Hitchens, Mother Teresa was actually more evil than Bush. Not that I necessarily concur with that, mind you.
