What would be my answer to the question, "So, how many Republican 2012 Presidential candidates do you think will have the courage to take on ethanol subsidies by the time that the Iowa caucuses come around?"
They'd (the Dems) kiss as, too, Russ. I just brought up the Republicans because they're the ones who are currently stressing the spending cuts, tough choices, etc..
Diane Sawyer asked 2 of the "Tea Party" candidates who receive farm subsidies if they would now vote against them. One said yes and the other said she would have to look at it more closely. Of course she has $650,000 (annually) reasons not to, while the gentleman who said yes only had $100,00 reasons.
I think that the maestro might be on to something here, kids. The tea-partiers are always going around saying cut, cut, cut, cut, cut. But it usually seems to be prefaced with the additional request of, "Please, dudes, can you start with the other guys first?"............I concur 100%, CDM. They've shown now that Ethanol is just as bad for the environment as gasoline....AND it's raising the cost of food, too. A bad policy that we definitely need to steer away from.

Same question to the dems? Would they answer it in Iowa?

Fuck Ethanol! E-85 is a red herring and has NO real benefit. Clean air.....oh wait, I forgot, it increases ground level ozone. Nevermind.
What a load of shit!
