On Congressman James Comer Claiming that Ilhan Omar and Her Weaselly Husband Had Been Selling Barrels of Wine that Didn't Have Any Wine In Them

If this is true then what we are witnessing could end up being one of the most unique examples of shrinkflation in world history (it would also be one of the most dishonest examples of money-laundering of all time, but that would step on my punchline, wouldn't it?).

On President Obama Going to Ireland and Giving a Decidedly Anti-Israel Speech that Was Also Replete with Inaccuracies (I Was Going to Call Them Lies but Knowing Obama They Might Be More from Ignorance) and While He Did Throw SOME Shade at the Palestinians, You Could Still Surmise Quite Readily Where His Allegiances Fell

Here are a few greatest hits from his speech.
a) Claiming that the Jews "stole" land from the Palestinians (they either bought the land or settled in areas that weren't being used). b) Making it sound like the Jews weren't being careful enough so as to not kill civilians (the Israelis are exceedingly careful to avoid collateral damage). Truth is, Israel has been a lot more careful in this war than Obama was during his drone campaign. And c) asserting that Israel has acted "excessive" in their dealings with the Palestinians (as opposed to millions of suicide bombers which isn't excessive, I guess). The only way that that would make sense would be if he was talking about the excessive number of peace offers coming from the Israeli side............ but being that sense has never been one of the guy's fortes perhaps I expect to much.

Song Interpretation - Bonnie Raitt from the 1970s Versus Patty Loveless from the 1990s and Early 2000s - Quick Addendum

This was not in any manner meant to demean the fine work (I actually posses most of it) that Bonnie Raitt continued to make after the '70s. It's simply that I prefer the earlier music due its rawness, non-comerciality, and emotional depth. That's all.

On Joan Leslie Circa 1947

Her reputation was one of being wholesome. Apparently she took a break from that at times.

Song Interpretation - Bonnie Raitt from the 1970s Versus Patty Loveless from the 1990s and Early 2000s

Wow, that's a vexing one. Probably Bonnie Raitt, but it's a scrum, no doubt.

   Good luck.

On Rex Harrison Playing the Role of King Mongkut In the 1946 Movie, "Anna and the King of Siam"

Well, I guess that if John Wayne can portray Genghis Kahn on the silver screen, a stuffy British actor can take a whack at this role (plus there weren't exactly a plethora of thespians in old Tinseltown, particularly after WW 2). It only makes sense, right?

On Aethelred the Unready (Circa, November of 1002), Anglo-Saxon King of England, Ordering the Massacre of Scores of Danish Settlers, Believing that it Would Deter the Vikings from Any Future Attacks

Needless to say, it didn't work in that the raids actually increased in both ferocity and frequency (apparently irking some of the most ruthless fighters in the known world wasn't the best of strategies).
Yes, a few historians have given the King some slack, arguing that some of the Danish settlers were up to no-good and that they had to be dealt with but indiscriminate slaughter has always had a creepy ring to it. Wouldn't you say?

On One of the Troglodytes from October 7th Phoning His Parents and Informing Them that He Had Just Killed a Bunch of Israelis (Not All of Whom Were Jewish, BTW) and the Peeps Responding Back with Encouragement and Pride

We also have crazed leftists in our country who've not just countenanced this barbarism but championed it, too. If only they knew that their time on the chopping-block will eventually come.

On this Picture of a 20-Something Geraldine Fitzgerald

I know what it reminds me of, but being that I'm trying to clean my act up a bit, let's just say that I enjoy it and close up shop with that.

On AI Recently Putting Forth Ilhan Omar's Denial of Having Broken Immigration Laws as Evidence that She Never Engaged In Such Malfeasance

Trump's denials apparently having been left on the cutting-room floor. So much for an unbiased analysis from these stupid things.

My Most Terrifying Reality for Hell?

Probably a situation akin to this. I'm in a room with only a television and the only thing that I can watch is "The View" (with Joy and Sunny doing most of the talking, of course). And to make matters worse, it's loud and I cannot turn the sound down (never mind, turn it off). There's also a neverending supply of episodes as the devil's pretty darn good at AI, it seems. And it's for all eternity, this crap. Pretty bad, huh?

On the Fact that Even Though There Hasn't Been a Verified Case of Lynching In this Country for Decades, You Still Have Those Revolting Squad Morons Furthering this Narrative du Jour that Black People Are Hanging from Trees All Over Kingdom Come and that it Must Be White People (and White People Only) Performing the Dastardly Deeds

The narrative did take another hit recently when the main suspect in the Tasia Fortune LYNCHING happens to be this cretinous nimrod. And what a shock, the higher octane grievance-mongering crazies like D.L. Hughley are pushing that classic, "he's just a fall guy" conspiracy crap with the predominantly black police force apparently being involved in it. Granted, it doesn't remotely make sense but, then again, does it ever?

On Young Students Feeling Virtuous While Incurring No Expense and Not Having to Display at Least a Modicum of Courage (You Know, as Opposed to Chanting Inanities and Destroying Stuff that Doesn't Belong to You)

So, virtue on the cheap, in other words (not very virtuous, is it?).

On the Fact that U S. Education Spending per Pupil Rose by 154% Between the Years 1970 and 2022 (Stats Adjusted for Inflation)

And in spite of this tripling of expenditures test scores in math and reading have continued to flatline. You'd think that at least some people in the education industry would notice the lack of a correlation here and want to modify the approach somewhat.......Then again, we are talking money here.

On the Pathetic Image of Influential and Affluent White People Bending a Knee In Honor of BLM (an Anti-American, Anti-Capitalism, and Anti-Family Rump Organization) and Doing this Crap While Simultaneously Wearing a Ludicrous and Ineffectual Face-Mask Just Because Some Dolts In the Permanent Government Have Incentivized Them to Do so

George Floyd didn't deserve to die (though, yes, wolfing enough fentanyl to kill a small herd of elephants likely wasn't the smoothest move available). But neither does he deserve to be canonized. The fellow was a career criminal and drug abuser who exhibited one of the most insane occurrences of resisting arrest in recent memory. Clearly, no one to look up to. Of course when you're dealing with hardcores who see everything through a black and white prism, such glorifying from the cheap-seats will undoubtedly persist.

On How the Media Will Respond if the South African Government Stops Playing Footsy with White Genocide and Instead Opts to Take the Gloves Off and Finish the Thing

Their standard response to any sort of evil at the hands of "marginalized" groups is to first deny the transgressions and then if that doesn't work attempt to justify them (arguing that white people deserve it in that they're the truer evil). Whether they proceed on this track when it comes to the wholesale slaughter of Afrikaners, I don't know, I'd probably put it at 50-50, give or take a percentage point or two.

On Barbara Stanwyck's Performance In the 1932 Pre-Code Gem, "Forbidden"

.  There are many words to describe any Barbara Stanwyck film, but if I had to select just one to characterize this performance it would probably be, meticulous. I chose that word because I was lured into her unique mannerisms and facial expressions and blown away with both the precision and subtlety of them. A lot of people consider Ms. Stanwyck to be the finest American actress ever and after witnessing this film (along of course with her other stellar performances) I'm kind of moving in that direction myself.
