Really Follow the Green

In 2008, the Heartland Institute and the UN both had conferences on climate change. The Heartland conference (predominantly comprised of skeptics) received zero in terms of corporate sponsorship. The UN conference (comprised predominantly of alarmists) - they, on the other hand, received copious amounts of backing from both the renewable power industry and the carbon offset industry. To say here that the skeptics are the corporatists in this debate is laughable.

Heartland is as agenda driven as any.

EVERY YEAR the Heartland Institute invites 33-50% warmists to their conference and every year they get rejected by the vast majority and when one of them does come they are treated with the utmost respect. Compare this to the other side in which climate skeptics are vilified and never invited to ANY of their conferences.......And on the money it isn't even close. Yeah, companies like Exxon throw in a million here and there (after having already spent millions trying to gauge the viability of renewables) but that is a drop in the bucket compared to the tens of BILLIONS that are levied by big government and NGOs, literally NONE of it going to study the effects of cosmic rays, sunspots, the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, etc. (mainly because you cannot tax them) and all of it going to study a trace gas that we know from physics has a minimal effect on warming past 400 ppm. These people are literally insane, BB (evil, too, in that they're delaying much needed progress in the developing world).
