On FDR Penning a Letter to a Magazine Editor In 1939 Which Strongly Suggested that His Harshest Critic, John Flynn, Should "Be Barred Hereafter from the Columns of Any Presentable Daily Paper, Monthly Magazine, or National Quarterly" and Shortly After that the New Republic Discontinuing a Column that Flynn Had Been Writing for Six Years
So a Democratic President Used His Influence and Authority to Strong-arm the Press Into Doing His Dirty Work, Peddle His Narrative, etc.. Sounds a wee-bit familiar, doesn't it?
