Palin really left absolutely no doubt with her last "speech".... she is FAR from a serious person. Sad really.
I don't believe rational leftists refer to Obama as a towering genius. But I suppose that depends on the point of comparison, all things being relative.
IMO, the closest president of 'towering genius' would be Jefferson. A great majority were law school people; a study related more to cleverness than genius. Wilson was the sole president with a PhD. IMO, the president requires a good dose of common sense. 'Towering geniuses' are too smart to be involved in politics. Sarah Palin is not dumb. Her rather 'common people' persona probably accounts for her popularity with some; she has found her niche and it is not public office.

Hear Hear, I am in complete agreement. Jefferson was indeed a man of immense stature and uncommon abilities.
