Let me just add that Lancaster's body of work is astounding; "The Killers", "Sorry, Wrong Number", "Come Back Little Sheba", "From Here to Eternity", "The Rainmaker", "The Rose Tattoo", "Sweet Smell of Success", "Seven Days in May", "Elmer Gantry", "Birdman of Alcatraz", "The Professionals", "The Train", Judgment at Nuremberg", "Atlantic City", "Local Hero", etc., etc.. Hell, I might even bet that wd just might like a few of these movies (or at least the soundtracks).

ReplyDeleteBecause I don't like a movie you like? It isn't my fault that the movie is dumb. Blame your own bad taste, not me.
As for the films Will lists... yes, I own quite a few of the scores to those movies on CD (the ones that are available). I've seen far fewer of them.
Actually, I didn't much like "Field of Dreams", either.
