What would be my answer to the question, "So, what do you think about Charlie Rangel saying that he didn't know that he could have started a legal defense fund?"
Rangel is a combat vet, unlike a lot of chickenhawks roosting in congress, but the dude has pushed the bounds of credibility far past the breaking point.

Beach Bum makes a good point. You can throw John McShame in there as well. I actually see a correlation between high war stress and bad decision making....but is it enough to push to causality? Hmmmmm.....
It's entirely possible, CDM. But as Mr. Bush (and to a lesser extent, Mr. Clinton) has clearly shown to us, being a chicken hawk can also lead to bad decision making.
