On President Polk Falsely Claiming (Lying, In Other Words) that Mexico's Incursion Into Texas Took Place North of the Nueces River, Not In the Disputed Territory Between the Nueces and Rio Grande

  President Polk of course used the raid as an excuse to send our cavalry to the border where a battle took place, not north of the Nueces River but deep inside that disputed territory. 
  And it all sounds familiar, doesn't it, a sociopathic President provoking a weaker country in to war and then lying his ass off about it (FDR, LBJ, Bush the Younger, etc.)? It damn sure rings a bell for me.
