On the French Government Deciding to Take the Accommodationist Approach and Let the Pampered Brat Neanderthals Continue with Their Stupidity-Ladened Anarchy and Destruction

  I kind of understand the reasoning. Having your military in hand to hand combat with the citizenry is very scary imagery. But here's the rub, it shouldn't have been allowed to get to that point. Not saying that they had to go fullbore Rudy Giuliani on this (though, yes, even that would have been more acceptable than the current disorder) but the fact they didn't begin arresting, prosecuting, and imprisoning some of these slants early on certainly emboldened a lot of them, obviously.
