On the "Wisdom" of Tearing Down a Fence Without First Understanding Why it's There In the First Place

Not saying that fences and walls (statues even) should never be removed (the Berlin Wall, for example) but you have to use critical thinking and for the love of God don't unilaterally destroy something that doesn't belong to you. I mean, we still live in a somewhat civilized society, don't we?
