And it's a good job that a) pays decent (an average of $17 an hour in the U.S.) and b) doesn't require a lot of time and money to qualify for (generally an associate's degree and an internship). If I was counseling some youngsters who wanted a career in healthcare and who didn't want to bankrupt themselves, this would clearly be an option.
