Of course, this isn't surprising in that Roosevelt wouldn't even support anti-lynching legislation during his Presidency (the fact that he didn't want to alienate the Southern racists who supported his statist, anti-business ideology).

ReplyDeleteLes, I don't think that FDR was so much a racist as he was person determined to get his way and by any means possible. He was Machiavellian, in other words.
