On Why I'd be Willing to Arm the Kurds

a) They're sane. b) They're loyal. c) They're trustworthy (i.e., the fact that the weapons probably wouldn't wind up in hands of al Qaeda, ISIS, etc.).

    And in areas where the Kurds have been insane, at least they have been doing something about it:

    It is a relatively decent nation: look at their efforts to ban FGM.

    They also have good relations with Israel, which marks them as civilized in a region of genocidal savages.
