It might have been higher, but there are many on the Left who passionately hate Heston for his defense of a certain Constitutional right that they hate.
Tim Roth comes to mind. The actor who was in Heston's final Apes movie. He was rude to Heston and unprofessional due to this.

Damn, somebody forgot to tell all those lefties (democrats, some of my family members included) that hunt, target shoot, and ACTUALLY OWN handguns, rifles, and the ammo that goes with them (AND watch and enjoy Heston movies) about their ALLEGED HATE for Heston and that 2'nd Amendment.
Also, I doubt your leftist family members enjoyed Heston's final Apes movie. The one I am referring to. Few liked it. The friggin hyperbole award goes to the one with the most caos.

Sounds like Roth had a sort of psychotic break inspired by an irrational gun phobia that was so extreme that it made him panic in the presence of someone like Heston.
The rest of my "hyperbolic" statement is based on experience from people I have personally talked to.
As for your experience, RN, I guess it is a difference between the moderate, reasonable Democrats you know, and the hardcore loony progressives like Roth.
