Economist, Veronique de Rugy - To the Republicans

a) We can't grow our way out of the deficit and b) defense spending can no longer be considered a sacred-cow (we spend more that the next 14 countries combined and that is purely unsustainable).

    Ryan's budget had some decent ideas in it, Les, but he totally took defense off the table and that is a big nonstarter with me.
