Whip Me, Beat Me, Make Me Write Bad Checks

There are women out there who are quite capable of making us misbehave. For me, Barbara Stanwyck would clearly be near the top of that list (jostling with Greta Garbo). While I hopefully would never go anywhere near as far as Fred MacMurray did in "Double Indemnity", picking up a truck-load of dog crap is a strong, STRONG, possibility.

  1. Will: "I see dead people".

"Specifically, dead actresses who were considered good looking in their prime, which was during the era of black and white films. And they're commanding me to do naughty things... like pick up dog crap".

  2. As far as I recall, "The Big Valley" was in color.

  3. Barbara Stanwyck was smoking hot but my favorite will forever be Lauren Bacall, I swear I've been in love with that woman since I was 10 and saw her in Key Largo.

  4. On a completely unrelated side note I learned a valuable lesson yesterday. Do not pick the spicy bean dip, chips, and beer as a snack after 1:00am Saturday morning.

Picture in your mind what you want, but it was not fun.

  5. Lauren Bacall was a very unique beauty. I especially liked her in "Written on the Wind" with Rock Hudson, Robert Stack, and Dorothy Malone (also a hottie).......I will absolutely take your dietary recommendation under advisement (relating to it, I can).

  6. Was watching the 1962 movie "How the West was Won" a few weeks ago and in the segment that had Jimmy Stewart was a mountain man rescuing a pioneer family was an awesome blond named Carroll Baker that had me glued to the television. Had never really heard of her before but had unknowingly seen her on countless television shows and movies for years.

  7. Ms. Baker did a spate of movies in the late 50s and early 60s (settling into television, no doubt, later). In addition to "How the West Was Won", I remember her in "The Big Country" with Gregory Peck, Jean Simmons, Charlton Heston, and Burl Ives. Definitely attractive.
