On the Super Beta Leftist Mayor of Minneapolis (Who Just Lost His Primary to an Unimpressive Douche of Somali Descent) Doling Out His Perfunctory Good Wishes to the Families of the Murder Victims Only to Pivot Rapidly and Show a Disproportionate Amount of Concern for the Trans Community and None for the Catholic Community Who Are All too Frequently the Victims of These Mentally Ill Slugs

 I'm not sure if he said anything about gun control. I suspect that he did but being that this situation is a little trickier (the guy's mentally ill and so the press would have had to contend with trans as a mental illness and the fact that the guy - if he had purchased the gun - had to have lied on his application form - too much of a headache, in other words) it probably wasn't a point of emphasis.
