On the Fact that President Madison Refused to Restrict Civil Liberties During the War of 1812

Kudos, but being that it was Madison's incompetence and failure to stand up to the war-hawks - many of whom actually wanted to annex Canada - in Congress that got us into that easily avoidable conflict, I'm probably going to have to reduce it to a kudos minus.
